Melba sweater
The Melba sweater is a timeless sweater. It is built from top to bottom, using a “hammer handle” construction.
The Melba sweater has a modern and easy-to-wear cut. Its creation is very simple and accessible to beginners.
Sizes:
80, 90, 100 (110, 120, 130) 140, 150 cm finished garment circumference \nRecommended ease of 5 to 15 cm.
Wool :
Lolilafée fingering merino and silk mohair in “Sage” color, held together
You will need the following footage:
920, 1010, 1140 (1245, 1345, 1480) 1635, 1800 meters of fingering thickness yarn
840, 930, 1025 (1176, 1210, 1345) 1480, 1645 meters of mohair lace type thread
Either
5, 6, 6 (7, 7, 8) 9, 9 balls of our base n°1 - merino
5, 5, 5 (6, 6, 7) 7, 8 balls of our base n°3 - silk mohair
Sample
20 stitches over 30 rows = 10cm (washed and blocked)
in stockinette stitch, flat, with 4.5 mm needles
Needles
4.5 mm needles for the body of the sweater
4.0 mm needles for ribbing

Small equipment
- 1 Md marker ring
- 8 marker rings
- 1 upholstery needle
- Blocking material
- Leftover wool or extra cables
- Elastic “thread” (thickness 1mm)
