Velvet beanie (mohair edition)

The Velvet hat (mohair edition) is a fingering and mohair hat, decorated with a pretty heart stitch giving it a soft and fluffy texture... like a red velvet cake!

It has a ribbed cuff to keep the ears warm, as well as a discreet crown of decreases which lets the pattern take center stage.

Baby (Child, Adult S/M) Adult L

Wool :
Lolilafée, Merino fingering base + silk mohair, “Sand” color
or any other thread allowing you to obtain the correct sample.

You will need the following footage:
145 (165, 185) 200 meters of fingering thickness yarn
145 (165, 185) 200 meters of mohair lace type thread
held together

Either
1 (1, 1) 1 ball of our base n°1 - merino
1 (1, 1) 1 ball of our base n°3 - silk mohair

Sample
20 stitches over 30 rows = 10cm (washed and blocked)
in stockinette stitch, flat, with 4.5 mm needles

Needles
4.5 mm needles for the body of the hat (A)
4 mm needles for ribbing (B)
Or to adapt according to your sample

• 1 marker ring
• Upholstery needle
• Blocking material
• 1 Pompom to sew or clip

• ribs 2/2
• decreases: 2 sts tog
• long-tail cast on
• knitting in the round
